Guacamelee console specific outfits 'possible but unlikely'

Lets hope for a Falcon miracle

A new version of modern Canadian classic Guacamelee! is about to hit PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U in a few weeks. It's got tons of bonus content! But it wont have the awesome fan-made skins available on the Steam version, like the Samus skin seen above. That's a PC-only sort of thing.

But what if Drinkbox got permission from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo for special console exclusive skins? 1001 Spikes got tributes inspired by Mario, Master Chief, and Nathan Drake, depending on what console you were playing on, and that worked out pretty well. One would hope that Guacamelee! could get the same kind of treatment. According to Chris McQuinn at Drinkbox, that kind of thing is "Possible...but unlikely. That requires a LOT of cooperation from the console owners. If somebody was really stoked about it and approached us, then ya, but we have no immediate plans."

I think it would be more than worth the while of everyone involved for Nintendo to give Drinkbox the go ahead for a Captain Falcon skin for Juan and a Samus skin for Tostada. Make it happen, Nintendo.
