I'd be happy to see them do something with Vice City again, even though this is probably just the long rumored move by Sony to put PS2 games on PSN.
My money is on the 3DS. Developers are really going out with bringing previous hard core titles to the system and the "Modified" sounds most likely to be the 3D aspect.

iPhone games are rated by Apple, not independent or government regulatory bodies. Obviously nothing will be rated yet for 3DS as the system itself hasn't even passed FCC et all approval. The graphics appear sharper, so it has to be console or PC.

Saints row better than GTA. LOL! I liked saints row for what it was... A shit version of GTA. Honestly the gunplay, driving, and multi were all crap. The story was shit on a stick. The only redeeming quality that game had was co-op and even that was only fun for a little while.

What GTA game would you say is better? San Andreas might come close, and III was truly revolutionary, but Vice City nailed the vibe of an 80s game, and stayed absurd (why Saints Row II is better than GTA IV, for instance) without losing any of its fun.

this is weird, although it was the best (over all) of the 4. why only re-release this one? why not all 3 of the ps2 ones.

And 2 gta hasn't really changed drastically from what it's been for a while, that is why I personally get bored of gta because I've played years of it. And to clarify your nooberation, saints row got old on it's own on the first game because it lacked creativity in comparison to gta because it tried to be too alike it's older bro. Gta

I'll be the first to admit that IV was a bit of a let down in a lot of ways but the multi (mainly mafia work) kept me entertained for well over a year. I played SR2 for about 2 weeks. Maybe shitty gameplay topped with shitty gimmics just isn't my thing. I'm sure I'm not the only one though. Let's boot up both games and see who's playing what.

I never played Vice City, so an HD remake would be A-OK with me. But, like fetusmilk said, if they do that, they might as well do all three PS2 GTAs.
GTA3 was fresh and original at the time, GTA:SA was the perfection of the formula, but Vice City fell between the cracks for me. Not particularly funny, not a great setting, no mix of urban and rural environments for contrast. I'd play a remake of SA, but not the others.
Add me to Team Vice City. It had the most fun missions, and the perfect mix of goofiness and seriousness. Plus, the city was just awesome. Much better than both Liberty Cities, Los Santos, and San Fierro. I did have a soft spot for Las Venturas, though.
It doesn't really need a remake... at least not the PC version. It has high-res support (stop with this meaningless "HD" nonsense) and plays and looks good even today. Unless they are going to remake everything like character models and such, I'm not sure what the point would be.

I'd love to play vice city again. I have the og xbox version but it really looks like shit playing it on the 360. If they were to do a redux version of III, VC, and SA I'd deffinately revisit. AND REDO THE WARRIORS R*!!! With online gang fights!!!
Nice! Hope it's a PSN downloadable game. They need to fix the graphics though. Have you played this thing recently? It's got this hazy filter on it that makes it hard to see anything.

maybe a 3ds port they did one for the psp so why not on as more powerful 3ds.( if its for the 3ds it would be better if they did San Andreas)

I gotta with people favoring this above the rest of the GTA series. For me, it was the most fun entry. Don't get me wrong, I tend to think for the GTA III games (III, VC, SA) it's fairly subjective about which is the best but this is my pick. The soundtrack is easily my favorite of the series as well.

HD Vice City? Nah, played that on PC the first time round. Can't imagine a HD console version is going to offer anything other than using a bigger screen and a different seating arrangement :s
Still, I'd be tempted, so long as the controls were slightly reworked - the console versions never worked well in targetting enemies compared to a mouse.
