The whole problem with this business model is everyone is basically over GTA4 at this point. I realize saying everybody is a false argument, but you get what I'm saying.
You don't need a GTA4 disc to play the Episodes From Liberty City disc, if that's what you're getting at.
I've never been a fan of console-exclusive content and games, and I actually like seeing this happen.

I gave my copy to a friend, who then proceeded to sell it off with his PS3. So ehhh... I won't be rebuying the game just for two peices of DLC. The Whole DLC thing shouldn't have been exclusive in the first place.
People are probably gonna pirate it on the PC, and that will further drive sales down the wall =/
you can play EFLC without the original GTAIV disc, EFLC is a brand new CD that include both episodies, no need to have GTA IV disc as i say before
Again, as I said above, "You don't need a GTA4 disc to play the Episodes From Liberty City disc." Just buy the Episodes disc for $40 and you're set.
I think some of you guys are just making excuses to be bitter Sony fanboys because Rockstar "wronged you". It's Microsoft's fault anyway, not Rockstar's. Get over it.
I think there are some lessons to be learned from GTA4; paring back the amount of gameplay you got in GTA:SA was a daring, and ultimately for me unsuccessful, move.
Trying to hone the driving and shooting and the atmosphere of the game world was a good idea, though I reckon they screwed up the driving too much and driving any car was like driving on ice.
I hope with GTAV they expand the game world, reintroduce a great variety of vehicles, and tighten the driving. Then we'll be getting somewhere.
Oh, and fix it so cars and people don't disappear on you if they go far enough away.
