GTA IV stu- stu- stuttering problem fixed photo

Earlier this week Grand Theft Auto IV started stuttering for many people when they went to play it on their PC. This was because of a recent Windows Live update that made the game start to stutter or stutter even worse than it already had. The issue, which caused a minor splash, has now been fixed so everyone here that wasn't complaining about it can go back to doing just that.

Microsoft released a brief sentence about the fix, "Thanks for your patience, a new update is available that addresses the stuttering issue with GTA IV.  Just log in and apply the new update." All is thus well in the world of GTA PC gaming and we can all go back to appreciating the wonders of running down strangers for fun.

> Turns on the X360 version and laughs "Haha, no stuttering"
> Gets the ring of Death.

Or do what I did, I got me a crack that makes GTAIV run without GFWL and R.Social Club.

I can't play online with it though, but it's been a good trade-off so far.

I also own the game for PC and patched my copy to remove the Windows Live and Rockstar Social club. Both are terrible junk that just clutters the game and ruins the experience. When I want to play my game I do not wish to have to log into not 1 but 2 different accounts plus get their annoying popups as a constant reminder of how they are sticking me with their DRM. Nearly all PC games I purchase I quickly find a crack exe or patch to remove the disc check and other crap on there.

I remember when some people said "I'll wait for the PC version, it will be superior"

Who's got the better version now, huh?

GFWL is a total piece of shit. Since The Pitt came out it has been causing Fallout 3 to crash on exit and nobody from Microshit has fixed it yet.

I have no trouble/glitches on PS3, wish I had the ediotr though from PC, would be great then. Only issues I’ve had and seen on PS3 and Xbox is when you have a ton of cars and people (cops normally) next to each other it lags the game and processor, offline and online.
