Sweet! If Raven does end up doing a new Bond game, Holy Crap that could be awesome! If Activision hands them the license and says "Go Nuts", OMG Please let this happen.
For the record, I was just yanking you're chain there. I'm not holding my breath if it's the same one as the Raven demo footage. I don't think they've even got a shooting script for the movie yet. Hopefully somebody will use the animations from that tech though; those were remarkably fluid.
Game publsihers have been trying to replicate Goldeneye's success for what now, like 16-17 years?
From what i've seen, not a single one has come close.
Never will either, Goldeneye had that one-time-only bonus of bringing a whole genre to the forefront of console gaming. And that genre stayed there.
I'm intrested to see which genre and what kind of title do that again, but i very much doubt it will ever be a James Bond game.

It's getting to the point where Craig is getting too old for Bond. Connery is once quoted as "34-35" is perfect for the role, and Roger Moore regretted doing his last film because he was so old. I think this might be the last one for Craig.

@magnalon, I fucking loved nightfire, but yes, if they use the extra time the filming provides to make a polished game, it'd make nearly everyone happy.
Well, considering Bond was failing at the cinema and that the games were bad recently (excluding Goldeneye), I bet that these will be the last of Bond if they fail.
I'd say Bond is thriving, at the cinema at least. As a lifelong fan, I have renewed faith in the series because of Craig and the Bourne-type action that's been brought. This also isn't Mendes' and Craig's first meeting (Road to Perdition), so this is promising.
Although I wonder if this is the same script that was supposedly scrapped due to MGM's financial woes. I'd imagine Bond is a large part of what's keeping the company floating.
Anyways, I'm quite content with Craig as Bond. I was very skeptical when he was announced, but Casino Royale changed everything in that regard, and honestly brought a new layer to the character that simply didn't exist in the past films.

NVGR but really the film franchise was fucked about halfway through brosnan's stint as bond. craig might have made two films that didn't suck which is good, but frankly they didn't feel like bond movies to me, just generic action with a famous name attached.
sad to say it, but without new fleming penned material i don't see the series recapturing its former glory.

i don't know why people love to replicate golden eye? it wasn't really special, played it back then, sure it was fun for it's 4 player splitscreen death match and it's cheats but that's probably it.
i would rather have them make a snake eater-like game. in 3rd person and set in the 60's. that would blow golden eye up in the ass. oh and replace this wanna be james bond and bring back Pierce Brosnan or Sean Connery.
