Good news for bond fans: Deadline is reporting that Metro-Goldwyn Mayer has announced that the next James Bond film has been given the green light. Set for a release on November 9, 2012, the flick will once again feature Daniel Craig as Agent 007, and director Sam Mendes will helm the flick.
Okay, so what does this have to do with games? Shouldn't this be on Flixist? Oh, here we go:
"Yet another James Bond videogame, which also had been held up because of the uncertainty, recently got the go-ahead," writes Deadline.
It should be noted that Activision hasn't confirmed a new Bond game, although rumors have pointed to Singularity-developer Raven Software on the project. It's unclear if the author of the Deadline article, Nikki Finke, is referencing these rumors, or if it's coming from another source.
In any case, it seems likely that Activision would want to play off the hype of a new Bond picture with a game. But with the film so far off (it doesn't go into production until later this year), it'll probably be awhile before we get the official word.
