Green grass, pretty girls: Burnout Paradise soundtrack listed photo

The fine folks at Music4Games sent us new news on the soundtrack for EA's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 racer Burnout Paradise

Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City" heads up the soundtrack featuring songs by Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Soundgarden, Twisted Sister, Jimmy Eat World, N.E.R.D. and more. Best of all, Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" has been included! *cough*

Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Music Marketing at EA said, “Burnout is one of the world's most popular racing franchises and demands a soundtrack that matches the game's intensity at every level.  We believe we've crafted a truly volatile mix of rock's most dangerous tracks - beginning with the iconic 'Paradise City' - for an audio fuel as explosive as the game itself."

Finally, I don't know why, but the inclusion of Faith No More's "Epic" is really funny to me.

At least we don't get the Spanish version of Girlfriend, like the last incarnation.

This soundtrack automatically wins for having B'z on it.

Also: "Where the girls are green and the grass is pretty."

Avril Lavigne is insidiously catchy, you don't want to have it in your head but THERE IT IS.

And seriously, I've been hearing it everywhere. TV, the mall, movies. It must be a sinister plot.

Not as bad as previous iterations of the Burnout series. Looks like the collector's edition won't be coming with razor blades.

I'm too busy running headlong into things to notice grass :P.

And then my car crinkles in slow motion, and hopefully you can't adjust the weight of the car, because I don't want it to cankle in slow motion.

that is all.

Tell me you'll be able to turn some of these off so they don't play in the game like Turismo let you do? If I have to listen to Avril while playing the game its probably enough to get me to not pick the title up. I hear that shit enough at work with that adult contemporary whatever music they pump through the store.

Churchills Dog: It locks up randomly when you try to go online but I found out that most of the time it works fine

and as in all NEW EA games you can select which songs you want to hear

Why so many songs from Dominator? That game had an awful songlist.......I was hoping for some good stuff like Revenge had. -_-

im sorry but "Girlfriend" just killed any inclination of me getting this game. I nearly broke my PSP after hearing that god-forsaken song on Burnout Dominator. Unless I get custom soundtrack, i. am. not. getting. this. game.

Why so many repeats from Burnout: Dominator? Of all of the cool things Paradise is doing right, the setlist is a letdown.
