I'm surprised by Gravity Rush every time I see it, mostly because I keep forgetting what it is and assume it's a puzzle game. Then I'm reminded that it's a weird action title with a colorful girl in a comic book world, and I'm excited all over again.
This new trailer shows off a lot of the interface, revealing how it makes use of all the Vita's toys to vary up the gameplay. As one of the lesser known Vita titles, it's a bit of a wild card, but it looks rather pretty and seems to be solid. Hopefully, it turns out well.
It looks absolutely beautiful, and I love the style and aesthetics to death. However, I'm going to wait on previews and reviews. Launch titles often try too hard to use a console's gimmicks, or don't quite master what a console can do. I hope that isn't the case here, but I'm going to play it safe.
On the other hand, I love touchpads, and the one on Vita is rapidly becoming one of my favorite points on the system. Hell of a lot better idea for gaming, if you ask me--or, well, for anything where you actually want to see the content.
Looks interesting, this and Katamari should keep me occupied until more games hit. Now I just need to find a way to soften the $400+ blow this thing is going to hit my wallet with at launch.
I love the Siren series so much, this is a killer app for me. Dragon's Crown, Shinobido 2 and Golden Abyss mean I am getting a Vita at launch. It already has more games I MUST play than 3DS and iOS combined.
Too bad that I expect the anti-piracy to get cracked quickly, and devs and publishers will see profits nose dive in the same way they did on PSP. In a year or two only Capcom will be making money from MHP, and we won't see any more big titles like Golden Abyss getting green lit for the system.
I know that is ultra-pessimistic. I hope their anti-piracy holds and they get enough awesome titles and marketing that the platform sees healthy adoption.
I think this is the only Vita game I'm looking forward to right now. Looks like it's confirmed for US release too (or was that revealed a while ago? I dunno)
Say what you will about the hardware and the choices of proprietary formats and such but with games that look this good and really just look fun to play...
You have to admit Sony seems to have learned some kind of lesson somewhere about launches of systems and how to put out games... I, for one, am rather stoked.
But then, I suppose that's a given, considering I seem to be part of the local SDF... Which disturbs me...

PlayStation Vita game Gravity Rush plays with gravity, letting main character Kat manipulate it to walk on walls or float through the air. A game with this kind of freedom requires a different design approach, and from what a...more
