Graphics war! Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS vs. Wii

7:00 AM on 02.26.2013

Nintendo recently announced that the Wii revival Donkey Kong Country Returns will be getting comfortable on the 3DS with the cleverly titled Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. This gives us the perfect opportunity to measure how the 3DS version's graphics stack up to the original's.

Can the portable pull off the same visuals as its older brother? At first, it would seem like the Wii build is far and away the champion, but once the Wii feed is reduced to the same resolution at which the 3DS displays, the comparison becomes a little more difficult.

On that note, was anybody really worried whether or not the 3DS can do Wii graphics?

Review: Putty Squad

Of all of the games to get a PS4 remake, you'd probably never put Putty Squad, an SNES game from 1994, at the top of the list. But here we are in 2014 with a full-on re-imagining, with more or less the same platforming mechanics that still work nearly 20 years later. The only problem is, System 3 Software has opted to charge $29.99 for a decidedly dated game -- which is a bit of a problem.more
