Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember hearing they intentionally make the driving difficult so that you'll get wanted i.e. Hitting a cop car, pedestrian, ect.

I just started gta4 a few weeks ago. The level of detail in the game is truly amazing, from the dialog amongst ramdom pedestrians to the different handling in the numerous vehicles. I have about 35 hrs in,and still have quite a few missions left, though a lot of time was spent messing around with stunt jumps. My 2 biggest complaints would be the annoying friend activities and the fact that there's nothing to really spend all your earned cash on besides ammo,which is cheap. Its a wonderful game and I look forward to number 5.
Maybe it will be set in Las Venturas. Gta4 seemed to mention it a lot. Might be nice to see a new setting.
@toastedtoasters, driving in 4 took some time to get used to, but I believe the reason the camera is player controlled is to allow aiming while shooting and driving simultaneously. I didn't like it at first either, but was totally comfortable with it after a few hours
I'm probably in the minority, (and coincidentally I am a minority), but GTAIV is my favorite in the series. The driving is on point IMO, the city's recreation was incredible and the voice acting is superb. I'm personally hoping V is set in Vegas, though.

I heard from a potentially bullshit source that the game will be set in San Andreas in 2012 and you play as a Hispanic dude named Adrian. I'm anxious to see if it's true, because if it is, that means I can be excited about the whole shitload of awesome features the source listed.
Please please please, let it not be another GTA 4. The game had good qualities, mainly the artwork on the geography, but the story was meh and I got tired of the clothing choices.
The rumour in Dundee is that a future game will have you returning to Vice City present day to take down none other than Tommy Vercetti.
You are right about the cars handling like shit in GTA 4. San Andreas was much more fun in that regard.

I'm not a big fan of GTA games but if Rockstar puts the level of attention into the story for this one that they did with RDR or LA Noire I might give it a try.
