This should come as no surprise to anyone who's been following the slew of leaks and rumors surrounding Grand Theft Auto IV coming to the PC, but today Rockstar has made the official announcement. On November 18, Grand Theft Auto IV will ship in North America for the PC. Surprise!
"The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC," said Rockstar's Sam Houser. "The game looks and play beautiful on the PC and we can't wait for people to play it.
Rockstar are promising "newly expanded multiplayer just for the PC," but there's no word on what that means exactly. Any gamers out there who passed on the console versions to wait for the inevitable PC release?

This time around though I have a PS3 and Xbox360 so did not have to wait for PC release.
P.S. I want to see a game mode where one player starts at the other end of the map and you all have to hunt him down.... whoever kills him gets to be hunted down the next time around..... I have played this in my own made up games and when people agree it is so much fun.
Everyone scrambling and shooting each other trying to get to the victim and the victim desperately trying to escape the gang after him by boat or helicopter or by any means... made for some fun games and would be great if made official.
so ive been waiting patiently.
There will need to be some PC exclusive content though. & it will need to come w/ a good editor so it can build a healthy mod community.
Just think, if the Multi Theft Auto group can add Multiplayer to the GTAs that didn't have it, think what they can do when multiplayer is already there!
The only GTA game I played was the original one and I liked it.
I don't have a current console so I never got to play GTA4 but I have a kick ass PC.
I didn't want to get the older GTA games as they are abit outdated... so yay for GTA4! :D
