Hmm I might actually pick this up now. I'll also be buying Forza.
I think it might be cool to compare them head to head.

I'll be interested to see what this adds. I got the game last year & played it a bit but I found it to be lacking in the fun department outside of the go-kart races so I've barely touched it since.

I don't really understand why a fan of the racing genre would just eat a piece of the pie when you could have the whole thing. ;P

Wow, seriously? The cockpit view argument still exists? I'd love to know how you got through the first 4 GT games. Some of these guys sound just as dishonest as the PS2-turned-360 fanboys who are dead set against admitting it was "599 US DOLLARS" that had the PS3 leaving a bad taste in their mouths.

As much as I love this game, I wouldn't expect anything more than a couple of new features or some tweaks. If they were to any amount of premium cars though, I would be happy as the 200+ wasn't enough to offset the 800 basic cars (which you'd probably never get to see, the way used cars are set up). IMO GT5 introduced a great amount of features (loved the new photo mode) but not enough content from GT4. Nevertheless, it's still an amazing game which I still love to play. BTW stop comparing Forza and GT5, it's not like they directly compete on the same console.

Adding 45 minutes of GT5 update on my schedule for next month.
Adding, driving to the mall, buying Forza 4 and playing it, while waiting for lame ass sony servers to feed my harddrive with more of those GT5 update gigabytes, too.

If it adds some sort of save/autoresume feature for endurance races, it will get me to dust the game off. What is the limit for actual drivers of endurance races? 4 hours? I'm not playing 24 hours straight, and certainly not leaving my ps3 on for two weeks.

If they don't add it, I'll just have to look forward to Forza 4.

I played all the way to beating the Pro series but I never had any weather races. They were all sunny. What gives? Even the season events. Do you have to be at a certain level? I was at 23.

this is just getting fuckin retarded now. they've been making GT5 for nearly 6 whole years, it turned out to be lazy playstation 2 port(not even update in physics Polyphony, really? and why it's uglier than GT4 for god's sake?) with only 140-150 new cars(considering they were still willing to copy paste those cars to have 200 "premium" cars like nascar), and maybe 6 tracks that were made for GT5 specifically and they're STILL PATCHING IT CAUSE THE GAME'S NOT FINISHED YET, WTF?!
did Polyretards at least fixed ridiculous loading times and framerate slowdowns and screen tearing?

and lol at sony fanboys who express gratitude for the fact that they've been waiting 6 years for lazy ps2 port that still is in alpha/beta state NEARLY 1 YEAR AFTER RELEASE.

Polyphony as a developer is a fuckin joke. what they've been doing for those 6 years? Turn10 revealed few days ago that they had to rebuild their entire car selection because of new graphics engine and cause CAD data(same that is used by polyphony and other studios) provided by car manufacturers was not good and detailed enough for Forza 4. all cars in Forza 4 - over 500k polygons per standard car(100k more than GT5's "premium" cars in photomode - i.e. those that they've bothered to make during those 6 years) and over 1mln polygons per car in Autovista(Turn10 confirmed that they had to rescan Autovista cars themselves since they had to take those cars apart to scan all the insides and movable parts of each car). and they did that in 2.5 year.
