Gran Turismo 5 took eight billion years to make, and it's not finished yet. A new patch is coming that will add "mechanical damage options" to the game. Quite what that means is yet to be elaborated upon, but it will most likely let you toggle the amount of pain you can inflict on your vehicles.

The patch has been pegged for December, so expect it some time in the very near future. According to developer Kazunori Yamauchi, future updates could arrive with more tweaks, such as optional HUD removal, improved cameras and in-game rewards.

Hopefully GT5 is a game that will keep getting better, although according to our own Dale North, there's not a lot of improvement to be had.

There's a Hummer H1 in Forza Horizon 2, and these 99 other cars

I hate Hummers so much. Only in America would a car that stupid get that popular. Of course, Forza Horizon 2 has the H1, the actual Humvee-looking one that isn't any less stupid for civilian driving, but at least it doesn't look like a gangly, overgrown Power Wheels like the popular H2 you still see out and about sometimes. The first 100 cars are listed here.more

Next week's PC beta for The Crew sounds fairly big

Ubisoft's closed PC beta for The Crew will begin a couple days earlier than previously announced. It's now set to take place from July 21 - 25. What's going to be playable, exactly? A decent amount, considering The Crew's ma...more
