Still haven't picked up The Splatters yet, Looks like it's time!
I've been interested since I read your review but there's so many XBLA games I haven't gotten to.
Also, I listened to that podcast posted in the C-Blogs looking for some Spelunky tips (totally kicking my ass yet I love it), what's up with you guys dissing Wizorb?

Wow, Hydrophobia is only 200 MSP. I've heard they've released several patches since Jim played it wrong, I wonder if it's any better?
I'll be picking up The Splatters. Oh and anyone that doesn't buy Hydro Thunder is basically just admitting that they hate video games and everything fun.

Agreed, I played the demo of the game a few times, just because it was so damn fun, I don't do that usually. So I'd buy this at $5 (400ms points)
Though, I don't know about it finding its audience. The game is fun, but I'd still put it in a "hard sell" category, mostly because a lot of people still won't "get it".
That sale overall, looks like a whole bunch of past XBL Event developers got together and said "we want a sale" Just about every one of those games was a past "event" game - though not all of them are worth the money at any price (looking at you Hydrophobia).

Toy Soliders was worth it for me at full price. I love that game.
I suspect the next place to take it is into the modern or Sci-fi realm. But that seems too generic for them - sure it'll be good wherever they go.

Holy crap, those are all games I've been interested in buying (except Hydrophobia). I would probably buy any one of those games if they were on sale individually, but all at the same time... I'll probably go for Cold War and Hydro Thunder, since I didn't quite get into the Splatters' demo as much as I'd hoped and Prejudice's multiplayer is probably a bit quiet by now... or maybe I'll get Prejudice instead of Hydro Thunder. Or maybe I'll get them all. I don't know D: I'll most likely get so confused that I end up not buying any of them.
In any case, anyone know how long this is on for? I'm on holiday for the next week and a bit so I might miss this, though I could probably buy them on the website...

I think I'm going to nab the splatters despite being turned off by both it's name and aesthetic. It just looks like some bargain crap I've seen a million times on the surface. But after playing the demo it's definitely a book cover situation and it deserves to make money.
Everybody - EVERYBODY - needs to get The Splatters out of this deal, especially at this price. You might baulk at the simplicity, but get into the full game and there's not only some amazing depth but or high-score chasers there's an almost ludicrous amount of challenge.
Me? Well, I picked up Toy Soldiers: Cold War after about a year of debate. Good deal right here.
