If I can't afford to pick up a Wii until sometime between March and next Christmas, it's a launch title to me! :)
How do you guarantee a strong 2007 Christmas for Nintendo after you sell 4 million consoles this year? No brainer -- delay the big Mario game. Sucks for the fans, but they got a biz to run.
Anyone who's ever paid attention to the Nintendo release calender shouldn't be surprised by their "delay-cause-we-likes-teh-monies" tactic. Hell - just look at their DS tactic;
I'm with the DMC4 character. Mario will ensure it sells next Christmas. Until then, they're gonna space out Metroid and some other franchises to keep the Wii afloat.
More 3rd parties need to release Wii exclusive games or else it does look like Gamecube 1.4256827384, except this one has Wii sports.

This sucks but it doesn't surprise me. I agree with Niero... it's a business and this is all calculated. Nintendo released one of their biggest titles at launch so it makes sense that their other big games will be held over to keep the hype going. Metroid in the spring of '07, then Mario Galaxy later in the year. Greedy bastards...
I agree with the general consensus regarding a Mario Galaxy XMAS. Now, with Metroid in spring, and Galaxy at XMAS, where does Smash Bros. sit?
I can personally wait for it. I mean I can't wait, but I would prefer everything is perfect than to play a game that will be competiting with other Wii games like Metroid and Smash Bros.

Yep and now Halo 3 is being released towards christmas of 2007, but it doesent matter because Gears of War came out and Lost Planet is due out next month in January and it looks to be a good game just like Gears. So the xbox is doing well I think or I wouldnt have just got one. Hopefully they wont delay the new smash brothers for the wii since they are delaying mario it seems now.
