I don't even care about arguing about the ecchi stuff, how do people think this is good animation? Blazblue has better animation than this, FUCKING DISGAEA HAS BETTER ANIMATION! This is like, saturday morning import anime level of animation. Has no one played any 2-d or sprite games in so long that everyone's standards have dropped?

I love that Tentacle Rape translates to "Slightly NSFW". It's awesome how widely accepted it has become. It in no way makes me want to light the world on fire.
Panty-shots and tentacle rape are eye-rollingly overused and not at all controversial. No clue why people are wigging out over this.

I like anime and I like rpgs. I don't know anything about this game, but it sure is cool to look at. I was thinking that if the game is actually fun to play, too then I would pick it up. But then I saw the image gallery. I'm probably gonna have to pass on this one.

I still know little about the gameplay after that video. It looks like an extremely basic turn based RPG with three actions and a lot of flash.

I'm not sure about the production of this game, but what it looks like is that it's supposed to have traditional cell animation, instead of digital sprite animation like the games you mention, and Disgaea had tiny sprites so there's no comparison there, not to mention most of these games come from budget limited companies that can't afford ghibli style animation, which is also cell based... again, I don't know if this is the case but it looks like it.

At 33 ive grown out of this kind of childish anime style, it's just not funny, certanly doesn't give me wood and isn't even cute like Fortune Summoners and retro games are.
That said the 2D characters in a 3D world is something thing I adore and was instantly amazed when I first saw this game, what a disapointment its too much fanservice anime.

As a Japanese games and (increasingly less so) anime lover I often used to use the same arguement when defending Japanese games.
That said it's not a good analogy in this case, Gears of War would have to be more like Cho Aniki where the Fenix and his squad repeatly do pelvis pumps into the camera

The animations in battle look really cool. I mean I guess it does. 2D fighting in a 3D world. Has it been done before?
@Jaksser I'm not upset over what the animation looks like, I just can't comprehend how anyone can describe this as "amazing fluid animation". I wouldn't be raving like an idiot if no one had praised it as such.

The animation looks good, I just dont like that in the battles or at other times it almost looks as if they are always on a slant view.
Wow. It's definitely not perfect but still looks damn good. Too bad I sold my PS3 and probably wouldn't play this even if I did have it. (Hence my reason for selling it.)
There is still something about the animation that feels awkward to me. Maybe I'll have to see it in person. Here is hoping there IS an English version in the works. :|
Yeah, cool concept and all, but I'm nowhere near impressed with the animation that's in game. It just has a low resolution look to it that I can't get over.

Huh, that looks like a pretty cool game. Fanservice aside, I'm surprised nobody else has run with this idea before.
