Gorgeous artwork for Kirby's Return to Dreamland photo

Kirby's Return to Dreamland is out October 24, and Nintendo's release some art to get us all pumped. It's bright and cheerful, and I've already made the Beam Flare picture my new desktop background, because it's awesome.

Return to Dreamland offers super-duper versions of Kirby's regular Copy Abilities, and this selection of art gives a sneak preview of each of them. They're pretty damn badass.

My review copy arrived yesterday and I am not allowed to talk about the game yet. I can, however, say that I've been unable to wipe this massive grin off my face for the past twelve hours. That's just a totally unrelated note.

My favorite is a tie between Beam Kirby and Ice Kirby.

If this gets anything less than a 9.5, I shall weep.

I hope this game is challenging... the previews I've seen so far haven't really implied such. Seems like walk from left to right and kill the harmless distractions along the way.

I just want a challenging kirby game :(

Kirby games are pretty straightforward adventure games. There's no reason to make this difficult. Can't wait for this game.

Also, I imagine you can't talk about it, but if the game also has the music from the Kirby Dreamland games for the game boy I will have a nice big smile.

Part of why I loved Super Mario Land 2 on the GB was the unique music.

Gorgeous? It looks like it was run through whatever filter Nintendo uses on all their games. Bubbly trash. Kirby sucks.

Nintendo apologizes about not making a bland brown shooter.

The original Kirby was specifically created to usher in new gamers - the series prides itself on accessibility.

If you want challenging, play the arena in Kirby Super Star.

They should apologize for their lack of innovation over the past 10 years. Bland brown shooter? Great 5 year old typical Big N Blowhard response. I bet you also still use a pager too just to keep it real.

I made the Hammer my background because Hammer is the best power in any Kirby game. EVER.

Beam is looking cute as ever.

Hopefully this is good since it's the first Wii game I plan on getting since Epic Yarn. That thing you said that has nothing to do with this game is pretty reassuring though.

@trsspidey

You should try Canvas Curse and Mass Attack, they're pretty challenging (although they're not "traditional" Kirby games...).

I think I'm not as excited as I should be for this game. Might be because we just got Mass Attack. I think I will wait a few months for this one to fully appreciate it when I play it.

Fluxanimator, [shakes head] you really should work more on articulating your opinions like an adult (You're not 12 right?). Right now you sound like a comprehensive ass.

And I fail to see any evidence to back up what you meant when you said lack of innovation. So you think Canvas Curse, Mass attack, Epic Yarn, Tilt N' Tumble lacked innovation? They were innovative regardless of whether or not you liked it. Remember in school when your essays asked you to back your opinions up with reasons? Grow up.

In other words, I am sincerely surprised you managed to read this far and then decided to take my words to heart. Oh wait a minute, this is the internet and that will never happen. (Prove me wrong.) Lastly, if you actually respond to this with a dick response I will more or less copy and paste what I just said.

Also cocks.

I don't have to articulate my FACTS to Wii fans. Do you explain your adult ideas to infants? Probably not seeing as they wouldn't understand.

Are those a list of games or the new lineup of Fisher Price toddler toys for Christmas 2012?

Go ahead and copy what you typed before. Seeing it twice won't make me care any more.

Yeah flux here's a fact: Your opinion is not a fact. Even infants understand that. I wouldn't have a problem with a person not liking Kirby or any game, but that was just...hold on wait..

"Do you explain your adult ideas to infants? Probably not seeing as they wouldn't understand."

This is exactly why I am done trying to explain your moronic manner of expressing opinions. You said that, not me. =/

You know what would be awesome? Kirby artwork done in the style of the Indiana Jones/Star Wars cover art. THAT would be awesome!

Ur just a cheap sorry fan-boy 1st and a "gamer" 2nd... and an uneducated one too (even worse)

...even true fan-boys (of SONY & Microsoft) know that Nintendo is the most innovative in the business... they ARE the trend setters.

They are the only ones that make true gamers games ... just ask any true hardcore gamer... and you'll be surprised

...and you just wait when Nintendo gets their HD console out buddy...

Nintendo IS the best ... always been... and that's coming from a SEGA 1st Nintendo 2nd fan-boy
