Good Old Games jumps in bed with Empire Interactive photo

The latest publisher to join the forces of Good Old Games is none other than Empire Interactive, which is fantastic news for anyone who enjoys a good helicopter simulator or finds virtual pinball to be pure bliss.

Two of Empire's games, Enemy Engaged: Apache vs. Havoc and Pro Pinball Timeshock, are available immediately for $5.99 each. A few of the company's other titles are on the horizon, including: Combat Chess, Pro Pinball Big Race USA, and Pro Pinball Fantastic Journey.

Because every single time we do a post on GOG.com there's always at least one person who leaves a comment about how they've never heard of the Web site before, I might as well add in that it's my personal favorite place for DRM-free downloading. Go check it out if you happen to be in the market for older PC games.

I freaking love these guys. Freespace and Freespace 2 were two of the best space fighter sim EVAR, and they're only a few bucks with no DRM.

If they could get the old LucasArts and Origin games, it would probably be the first time that I fapped to a company.

They're starting to build a hell of a library with new games each week.

Even if they (somehow) don't have anything you want/need yet it's a site worth watching.

Also, you get Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress for free so there's really no excuse not to visit.

Yep, they need to get hold of LucasArts games. I'm pretty sure X-Wing and Tie Fighter would lok pants today, but I get the urge to re-play them all the time. And I never tried the last W-Wing game (Alliance?), and the last two Monkey Island games, and The Dig, and...

I've only got a few games from their library so far but they certainly seem to be attracting a good range of games (and their publishers) so I suspect I'll be visiting it time and again. (Also, my first ever comment on here)

Spoken like a young whipper snapper.

Nothing on "Good Old Games" is actually "old". You want "old"? Try "Temple of Apshai", "Arctic Fox", "Racing Destruction Set", "Mail Order Monsters", and a sh*tload of games under the Atari 2600 or Commodore 64 moniker.

And, by the way, The Underdogs is gone as of a month ago.

Now, get off my lawn, damn it.
