Good Old Games has Fallout & Fallout 2 for under $10, plus more holiday bundles photo
#PC

From now until December 31, DRM-free classic PC game distributor Good Old Games is having a wonderful little holiday sale on some of its best titles. For $9.98, you can buy any one of the following bundles:

  • Fallout and Fallout 2
  • MDK and MDK2
  • Descent 1 + 2 and Descent 3 with Mercenary expansion
  • Freespace with Silent Threat mission pack and Freespace 2
  • Stonekeep and Lionheart

Not too shabby, eh? On the off chance you have previously purchased one of these games, you'll get $1 off the second title. I know, it's not much, but I suppose it is better than no compensation at all.

Which of these bundles is looking the most appealing to you guys? Or do you already own all of the games you want from this list?

It looks like I'll have to drop some coin for the Freespace packs, I have everything else.

"GOG.com users who’ve already bought one of the titles from the "Holiday bundles" can get the other one for a special price of $4.99 - you save $1."

I already bought FO 1, but I took advantage of this deal. Currently I'm pondering what magnificent things I'm going to do with that single dollar I saved.

I still have my Freespace and Freespace 2 discs, but Descent... hmmm....

I hope this company can get a larger selection. They're doing the right thing. It's just that most of the games of theirs that I want I already have. :(

Anyone had any luck getting these games to run on Linux?

Why would you buy freespace 2? it's free now, in the form of FS2Open.

Uh .. to show some inexpensive but moral support for a company who's trying to do the right thing, perhaps? To show that maybe ... just maybe ... that $10 purchase might go a long way to keep this company going?

That just clinched it for me. Excuse me while I go and purchase the Descent games, even though I could just as easily get them for free by more illicit means.

This reminds me that I have all these Descent discs sitting on a shelf gathering dust. I really should pay them some attention.

Hmm, maybe I'll grab Fallout to see what the fuss was all about.
