Today on GOG.com, there's a Shutdown Promo discounting games like Capitalism, Alpha Centauri, Theme Hospital, and Redneck Rampage to half price. "It occurs to us that one of the problems may be that there are people on Capitol Hill who don't know what a functioning government looks like, so we thought we'd help," writes the site. It gets better.

People who have been furloughed by the government shutdown can get these games for free by sending an email to -- and this is the part that truly cracks me up -- thanksobama [at] gog [dot] com. Just be sure to include a picture of the official furlough letter prior to Friday, October 11 at 12:00 Eastern. These are my people right here. Show 'em how it's done.
