God of War III game director Stig Asmussen told me that he had no idea what was next for the series, and that he wasn't currently working on any downloadable content. But if this God of War teaser site is any indication of things to come, I may have to call him out soon.
The Web site, Spartans Stand Tall, has been updated to show a "mysterious man" standing in the rain. You can see the side of his head, and it surely does look a bit like Kratos. As the lightning flashes, you can even get a quick glimpse of the man's figure in a puddle of rain. Yup, still kind of looks like Kratos.
What this could be pointing to is anyone's guess. Another retail God of War game so soon? A PSP title? Downloadable content? Something else... ? We'll find out pretty soon though. The site features what appears to be a clock in the upper right hand corner. If the red outline is a countdown (and I believe it is), it's almost full. We'll keep you updated.
In the meantime, let us know what you think, and if you've found any other clues that might give us a hint as to what we can expect.

Zeus and Kratos are fighting when Gaia comes and Zeus say's "You should have chosen the other one"? It's speculated to be his brother who's mentioned in a GOW I making of movie. He is in the Underworld right now and seeks revenge from his brother.

In this game, Kratos rages at the very Earth itself because he doesn't understand why his compass keeps pointing north when he wants it to point elsewhere.

And Spoiler, but did anyone else find it odd that right after Kratos discovers the power of Hope and Forgiveness, he still beats the shit out of Zeus with his bare hands?
