Regardless, I'm curious. I figured they sowed things up pretty well at the end of the last game. It would be kind of nice if this was something in the vein of a new protaganist, new setting, etc, but we all know it'll be Kratos again. Maybe we can drop the trip to the underworld this time.

Maybe GOW4 will show Kratos trying to fix Earth after what he did in GOW3 (you know, killing all gods, fucking up the oceans, the sun, etc.)

Make it like the prototype sequel. I wanna be a new badass and fuck Kratos up. He deserves it for making qte's so popular.
I would sure love to see them do something completely different with the series. Ive had my fill. Though the ending of 3 was quite brilliant. (probobly because it departed from what the rest of the game was doing somewhat)
@UltorOscariot: I'd be supportive of that idea. There's no need to dick around with Kratos anymore. His character arc was finished two games ago. There are a wealth of other "pantheons" of gods to tap from as well. We could have Shiva beating down some Quetzalcoatl or Barong and Rangda going at it.

GOW 3 was soulless because Jaffe and/or Barlog were not involved. I don't think Stig was a very good director choice for the series, I think they should just make a new IP and leave GoW as it is while the series still has some credibility left.
I think with a new IP they can do alot of cool new stuff, I don't know what they can really do with GOW at this point. Even if they're just in it for the money, the team is so famous that at this point whatever they work on is almost guaranteed to sell great.

Ya'll are doing it wrong! It's God Of War IV Revelations! Since the word 'Revelations' hot nowadays, all the young'uns are saying it, from Hollywood to Kim Kardashian!
Hmm...I'd like it to be true, but it could also be a tentative title for another prequel. I honestly don't see where the series could go story-wise after the third installment.
I must agree that what they did with Kratos's character at the end of GOW3 was just so forced it was embarrassing. Heck, the whole last 3rd of the game was pretty bad. I was there for the midnight release, but ended up finding Bayonetta a much better game overall.

God of war 3 is amazing and I'm excited for a new entry. The game was no where near soulless. Dare I say it, gow 3 is probably the best gow game made to this date. Best story, more depth and interactivity and omg there was actually character development. People need to get off their high horses when it comes visions of other directions in the same franchises.
Further info also points that the series will not go the way of RTS battles as initial rumors claimed leaving fans of the genre quite disappointed with the news.

Anyone who is complaining about GOW3s ending is obviously ignorant of greek mythology bc the ending was absolutely perfect in both the aspects of the mythology and bringing closure to Kratos_ it also explained how he really killed aries and the other gods bc hope is truly our greatest strenght and weakness_ too little of it and nothing is possible but too much of it and nothing will get done but just the right amount of it and everything/anything becomes possible
GOW II was easily the best game in the series for me at least. GOW III just felt like more of the same and was significantly less epic. There some cool parts, don't get me wrong, but the only boss fights/epicness that were memorable was the beginning and the end.
It better be a prequel. Sort of like Dynasty Warriors but with the Spartans; with Kratos as their leader.

God of war IV: God of farts (Marketing misheard the subtitle, it was supposed to be God of Arts)

I don't know what's left for Kratos to do after GOW3's ending, even though they implied he's still alive. Maybe it will be a prequel or have a new character...
God of War 3's ending was a huge cop out. I know I shouldn't have expected them to kill a cash cow but man it felt cheap.
I'm excited to hear a God of War IV might be on the works, but I really hope they don't use a retcon. How can God of War continue? Only like a prequel.
I wish Sony could keep a lid on things as well as they/ND did with The Last Of Us. That had just the right amount of teasing.
