Sexy's opening salvo was wrong to start. EA didn't make Dante's Inferno as a single format game, therefore there's no axe to grind, as Sexual tries to. Its very childish to think that any game is perfectly untouchable is crap, even GoW.

He likes it and is no doubt flattered by it to a degree, otherwise he wouldn't be up at midnight to download the demo. I find it amazing that if even he, can appreciate Dante's Inferno in the smallest way, that some PS3 owners can't/won't, for it will kill them to do so.

Well said. I don't understand why God of War fanboys are so up in arms about this. I'm guessing it's because God of War is such a shallow game, they hate it being revealed as such. Not that I dislike God of War or anything, but if you have an issue with the fact that you have to mash a button to open a door or chest just like in God of War (which I always felt was retarded to begin with), then you are one desperate griefer. There is almost nothing that you can say about God of War that is borrowed in Dante's Inferno that is original. Weak and heavy attack combos? Aerial combos? Jumping? Minor puzzle elements? Health orbs? Wow... that's so... original. :/

I think it's a little silly to compare the likeness of Doom and MW2 with Dante and GOW. It's a clone, but it's a very good clone and something Xbox users can play as well.
That said, it is absolutely stupid to ignore the blatant similarities, in fact, I would challenge anyone to come up with five differences between the titles sans names and setting. The difference between Dante and other, similar 'clones' is Dante doesn't try to be different in any way. That is where the hate comes from I would gather.
Alternatively, I think it's even more stupid to bitch and call it a crappy game merely because it is a clone. It's a really solid game - albeit a tad short (as is GOW for that matter -, it's really fun, and I personally look forward to the sequel. Nobody batted an eyelid when there were zero multiplat releases coinciding with Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted 2, Resistance, Killzone 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Motorstorm, Heavy Rain, MGS 4, LittleBigPlanet, Haze, Ratchet & Clank Future etc etc etc.
However, suddenly, 2 multiplat games with a vague similarity to inFamous/ God of War 3 turn up at similar release dates.

I demoed this and found it quite fun, I'm someone who hasn't played GOW so I'm not sure what the similarities between the two games are. I'm a fan of DMC4 which is of that genre but obviously Dantes Inferno feels a bit different from DMC.

Why I liked SR2 more than GTA4:
1. More FUN!
2. Wheels feel like they are made of rubber, not clay.
3. Customisation galore!
4. Camera that doesn't lock to centre when you move (big deal for me).
5. The gang system is fun.
Liberty city is way more beautiful though, much better attention to detail, and GTA's multiplayer kicks the shit out of SR2's, but apart from that, I like SR2 a whole lot more. Started a new playthrough last night funnily enough, so this little debate seemed relevant to me.
