God of War character designer creates 12

I often stand in awe of the many talents of people involved in the game industry, but it seems God of War III character designer Katon Callaway has more than the usual serving of talent. For instance, not only is he working hard on the faces we will come to know and love in the new game, but he's also working on this epic-looking Akuma statue on the side.

What you see above is just a prototype shot, so the final result could differ, but it's slated to come out this September through SOTA toys. They've also done a handful of Street Fighter action figures and resin statues, including Sagat and Ken. Akuma will set you back about $120. Interested?

That Ken one looks incredibly gay compared to Akuma and Sagat. God, Akuma is such a badass.

That Akuma is SO badass. It's good to see video game artists taking interest in others work and really being respectful with them.

"That image of the figure looks like CG. Wow."

That's because he sculpted it in Zbrush. Man, I remember following his work in progress thread on Zbrush Central months ago...had no idea he was going to make it into a 3d print...

...what a badass.

Sagat looks awesome. Does Akuma's necklace actually look a bit too large to anyone else?

I've never really like Akuma (I was always bitter that he killed Bison) but that statue is pretty bitchin.
