too bad i heard the netcode is shit, and Sega is fucking too stupid to have release it last summer.
*Sighh
I agree. What I find strange about its reception is that Dark Souls PVP is lauded as an overall beneficial addition to an already excellent game, and if it were added later I can't help but feel like it would get the same reaction as GOW has.
Melee-based competitive MP has not been mastered yet like FPS has, and its going to take some experimentation to get right.
Even though I'm a little excited for the campaign, they really aren't doing anything new or exciting at all with the franchise when, at this point, I think they should be.
I mean, yet ANOTHER prequel and he still has the Blades of Chaos? I was hoping for a prequel from before then, like around the time he killed his family. Horseback, swords, bare fists and spears as weapons, giant bloody battlegrounds, getting the Blades of Chaos at the end and feeling that sense of power, etc.
Companies need to stop putting such a stranglehold on their titles and go back to the 90s-00s where every game wasn't locked up tight to prevent any sort of modding.
Batman Arkham Asylum / City would have been great if they had released a mod tool to allow people to create challenge rooms even if just for PC.
Mirror's edge would have done MUCH better had it been supporting a SDK from the start to allow modding and custom maps instead of forcing people to hack the game and figure out how to do it over a year later when interest had wanned.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 should be on the PC using Steam's Workshop system to allow people to create and share character customization items.
