God of War: Ascension gets a new mode, five new maps

3:00 AM on 07.12.2013

The latest update for God of War: Ascension has brought with it a bunch of new stuff for players to try out. Namely the addition of a one versus one Bout of Honor mode. The best of seven match pits two players against each other without any distractions from chests, fountains, relics or world weapons. Magic will regenerate over time, but it's a very slow process.

This update also adds four brand new maps made specifically for Bout of Honor. Plus there's another new map for the regular four player versus mode. The Whirlpool of Alecto, as it's called, features a giant leviathan for players to deal with as the fight progresses.

All of this is available for free as of right now.
