Go to Burger King for a heart attack/Nintendo toy combo

Go to Burger King for a heart attack/Nintendo toy combo photo
     Toys

I saw a commercial for this stuff the other night, but now there are pretty pictures to write about as well. Burger King is upholding the time-honored tradition of coaxing children into obesity with the promise of toys by offering a new range of Nintendo-themed goodies alongside its Kid's Meal.

There are ten of the little bastards to collect, and according to Burger King, each one does "something awesome." Unfortunately, none of them can make Carnival Games disappear from the Wii's library. Anyway, if you feel like being a total baby, here's something for you to do when you get off from work today.

None of these look like they'll beat those old awesome Mario toys though. You remember the ones? They had a Goomba that did a backflip and a springy Raccoon Mario. That was back when toys from fast food restaurants ruled.

Don't even get me started on the French Fries that could TURN INTO A ROBOT!

Oh my god I still have a springy raccoon mario. It's amazing. The spring part fell off long ago, but he's still cool. Also, I don't think it was the goomba that backflipped, but the paratroopa. I remember having one of those, too.

I wish they had Princess Daisy instead of Peach. Daisy is a much better character.

@Kraid: Why would you expect a toy in an adult meal? Don't be silly.

@Jim: I remember all the toys you mentioned. The Transformer fries/burgers/shakes/etc. were FANTASTIC.

The food robots WERE amazing. Best Fast Food toys ever. If they started making those again I would actually set foot in a McDonalds.

I remember both those toys. I also remember McDonalds had Sonic ones back in the day. I remember a Knuckles, a Sonic (one of those toys that you back up, and then it would go forward fast), and a windup Robotnik. Those were the days...

I used to have that yellow, blue, and red one(quarter pounder, I think???). I can't believe they don't have a goomba or Bowser in that lineup.
