Oh, you cuh-RAYzay hackers! What magic will you perform next?

Some rosy-cheeked tinkerers have decided to hack the data for Super Mario Galaxy 2 to create a suite of custom levels called Super Mario Galaxy 2.5. The hack isn't finished yet, but you can see the fruits of their labor so far in the video above. And is that a remake of Bob-Omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64 that I spy?

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the greatest 3D platformers of all time, so any modification may lack the high level of polish we're accustomed to. Nonetheless, it's fun to see what the fans can come up with. With that said, if you own a retail copy of Galaxy 2, just follow the instructions on the YouTube page to soft mod your Wii so that it can play the one-level demo.

Review: Chariot

Review: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

It's still tough to believe a fighting game based on the Persona series exists, let alone is any good, but Persona 4 Arena certainly came as a pleasant surprise. Atlus and Arc System Works are two distinctive studios kno...more

Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was an intelligent riff on the perils of high school -- you know, if you had thrown a murder mystery in between classes and the principal was a maniacal stuffed animal. Its sequel, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, takes a beleaguered trope and turns it on its head. This is one "trapped on a desert island" story that takes things to another level entirely.more
