Quantcast

This trailer was originally sent out to us late last week, but a glitch caused some sort of corruption in the file and there was no audio. So, we held off until we could get the full version rather than waste your time by making you watch a bunch of people talking without being able to hear what was being said. On reflection, that probably would have been fairly funny had I thought to pretend as though everything was fine. Hindsight is 20/20, eh?

Missed opportunity aside, this is a pretty solid video. The folks at Raven Software go over the approach they're taking towards making the game be a recognizable entry in the beloved Wolfenstein series while still cranking it up a notch with some new facets that sound pretty interesting. They discuss The Veil and what it does for players, as well as new weapons, enemies and the evolution of B.J. Blazkowicz.

Head past the jump and check it out. Between this and the graphic novel trailers over the last few weeks, I don't think I've been this exposed to or interested in a Wolfenstein title in a long time. What about you guys?

Wolfenstein 3D and Return To Castle Wolfenstein give me some of my fondest gaming memories.

Here's to hoping that the new one will as well.

I forgot that Splash Damage existed. I wonder if they're going to make a sequel to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory?

Chronic Logic: Splash Damage is working on their own game called Brink. It will be published by Bethesda.

That's definitely an understatement for me. I loved the original Wolfenstein 3D but I totally missed Spear of Destiny and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This new game has me so excited that I'm tempted to buy The Wolf Pack on steam so I can catch up on the two games I missed.

Looks cool. Up until seeing this video I thought id was pronounced as initials.

"I forgot that Splash Damage existed. I wonder if they're going to make a sequel to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory?"

Well they made Quake Wars: Enemy Territory which is pretty much a sequel, just with a different franchise.
