Most of the system's launch titles were ports and the only game I've bought since was the port of Disgaea 3. At least this time it's a game I don't already own...
Also: it's one thing when a game from a computer or home console gets ported to another computer or home console. It's another when it's ported to a portable system. If Rockstar announced a portable version of GTA IV or Red Dead I'd be all over that shit.
And when are options a bad thing?? If you want original games on Vita you got Tales from Space, Lumines, Gravity Rush, Stardust Delta, Uncharted, Wipeout, Hot Shots, MotorStorm, MLB, and Unit 13. If that's not enough for you, I think you have too much time on your hands. In the meantime, you're welcome to get excited for a portable version of a game that most people haven't played, and those who did haven't done so in years.
In fact no, the Vita does not just do ports. That's a bit of disinformation that should really be stopped.

I count 26 Vita exclusives on that list. About a dozen of them were available at launch or shortly within the launch window. Several more of those may well be exclusives for all I know, I'm just not personally familiar with them. I just know the 26 I counted for certain.
I think you'll find the Vita has a significantly higher port-to-exclusive ratio than even the PS3, and more continue to be announced on a regular basis, including a pretty large number shown at E3.
The more you know! :D
please please D3 port Onechnabara Kagura Z for PS3 with all the DLC please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i can play it alongside with my Lollipop Chainsaw :P
??? Most of the Vita's launch games were awesome. Unit 13 wasn't a port. Dynasty Warriors Next wasn't a port. Shinobido 2 wasn't a port. Escape Plan wasn't a port. Mutant Blobs Attack wasn't a port. Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational wasn't a port. Touch My Katamri wasn't a port. Army Corps of Hell wasn't a port. Mod Nation Racers: Roadtrip wasn't a port. Super Stardust Delta wasn't a port. Uncharted: Golden Abyss wasn't a port. Lumines: Electric Symphony wasn't a port. Little Deviants wasn't a port. Plus we now have Resistance: Burning Skies and Gravity Rush.
If all you bought was one game when you have all of those awesome, exclusive games to choose from, that's your own damn fault and nobody else.
Oh I bought many games, I spent over £250 on Vita games at launch, I just didn't enjoy many of them... Was looking forward to Resistance and then I played the demo... Was looking forward to Gravity Rush and then I found out you are required to use the touchscreen to dodge... So while I will play the games I already own, the only thing I'm looking forward to is PS1 game compatibility... Yay...
Using the screen to dodge in Gravity Rush is not as bad as you think. Mostly because you rarely even need to dodge and also the kick button is literally right next to the screen.
I don't see anyone defending a game here. I see people excited to play one, and they have no need to defend that. It's a beautiful thing.
If it takes a 5 year old console port attempting to boost Vita's sales in Japan, it'll be moreso of a testament of Vita's lackluster reception than anything else.
Vita isn't exactly flying off shelves.
