Ghostbusters confirmed for release in June 2009 photo
     Atari

We've been running around slathering drool on everything related to the upcoming Ghostbusters game, despite its move from Activision Blizzard hands to those of Atari. After all, this is one of the most beloved films of all time -- it's understandable that people are hopeful for a good game adaption. But there definitely were times this year when it seemed that the title would never see the light of day, despite what some people had to say about the matter.

Announced in London today, it looks like fans of all things paranormal finally have a date to look forward to: June 2009. Atari also announced a ton of other titles, including Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, Tetsuya Mizuguchi music title QJ, and Q3, which will be a box set including Rez HD, Lumines Live and Every Extend Extra Extreme.

Are you planning on picking up Ghostbusters when it hits shelves next year?

I am never going to play this since the NES games are some of the worst games I ever played.

It is not worth it ever.

Ahhh. Good to know it will happen. Things have come along ways since the NES, and I will be getting this at some point.

You should've used the "THERE IS ONLY ZUUL" header image.

I'm picking this up no matter how bad it is and will defend it to the death during internet arguments despite any glaring evidence that is thrown in my face.

I will be picking this up day one. The only question will be PS3 or 360. If they wind up doing a game/blu-ray movie pack like they did with Stranglehold/Hard Boiled for PS3, that will make the decision much easier.

Comparing an NES game to one that's coming out 20 years later...

That's a new level of retard there Cube.

And yes, I will buy this on day 1.

Must see and hear more gameplay footage before I render my final verdict.

I still can't tell if this is going to be awesome or horrible. I mean, yeah it's going to be awesome because it's ghostbusters, but I'm wondering if it's just going to suck ass. That made no sense.
