That was fucking awesome. I don't usually break my silence on the 'almost as bad as ign' comment sections here but wow, that was real enjoyable and I suggest indulging yourself.
Who do these devs talk to to get them to do this awesome shit? Why can't Hollywood be like these guys?
Where the fuck is my Halo Movie?
at this point i can forget about ever getting SWAT 5. i can bet that whenever SWAT franchise is brought up by developers in Activision headquarters it ends up like this:
"a shooter where you have to plan things and actually NOT kill every single person in the room, yeah no. how about making it like Call of Duty?".
While im not the biggest fan of the wife of Ice-T and it feels out of place but at this point after ubisoft being out of the real competitive online shootermarket since 2008 they had to do something...
And Ubisoft knows theres a whole teenage boys market who go crazy just for Tits and Ass and its hard to compete in a market dominated by COD and BF...At this point except for those of us who grew up with Tom Clancy games they are the newcomer for a whole bunch of gamers who jumped in at COD after 4...
So if this brings in more gamers so they wont leave another huge gap untill the next 1 then im happy! Also this short video was amazing lets hope one day We get full length films based on game IP that approaches this level of quality!
well, it would be nice if those tits and ass were pretty, but they're just ugly proof that: when you want plastic surgery, don't be stingy.
as for new "audience" - Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six games have completely different audience from CoD/BF games so why would they dumb it down for CoD/BF crowd that will go for CoD/BF game instead of Tom Clancy title. they not only completely cut off their existing audience which BTW, bought over 2.5 mln copies of the last installment of Ghost Recon. and it's not like they had problem with online community - those games still had very large online community in 2010, 3 years after Advanced Warfighter 2 was released. so:
- they have big enough audience that support their games and kept growing throughout the years(each GH and RS game sold better than the last),
- those games were unique and didn't have any competition in their field,
and now they are throwing away all of that to compete with an audience that won't even look at those games. if they will do the same with Rainbow Six: Patriot then i'm done.
