Ghost in the Shell inspired mod NeoTokyo gets full, free Steam release

9:30 AM on 07.07.2014

NeoTokyo started as a Half-Life 2 mod a decade ago. It was Greenlit on Steam almost two years ago. Now it's gotten its full release on Steam and it's free.

Set in a futuristic Japan, the multiplayer shooter seems intense and tactical. Might be worth reading up on it before running around like a cyborg with its head cut off. Still, a combination of Ghost in the Shell aesthetics and it being free has me downloading it to give it a shot.

This Destiny trailer makes me want to get my ass to Mars

In Destiny, the tops of long-lost skyscrapers poke through the surface of Mars which means, presumably, we'll have to work our way down through them to reach whatever lurks below. I'm not expecting to find anything good down...more
