You don't need Home installed. You go to the redeem codes screen under Account Management. I just picked up mine. Home crashed after I downloaded and installed it, though, so I bailed. I'll check it out later.

Yeah I redeemed the code and it said I received the two items. I load up PS Home and the shirt is not there. Strange.
It shows up in my purchased list inside Home but its nowhere to be found in the Wardrobe section. Must be the high volume traffic affecting the servers?
Redeemed through my PSP while at work. Will just have to see later when I get home if it's there. By the comments, seems like something is a foot with it not showing up.
Hell yeah, this is the only shirt I'll ever rock in the one time every couple years that I check into Home to have some lolz.
That's pretty awesome, but I totally don't feel like booting up Home (and downloading updates and patches for hours) just to get it.
I don't even have the shirt. I typed the code in online on the computer thinking I'll re-download when I get home and it's not even showing up in my download history. I re-typed the code and it brings me up to the download menu and even says I downloaded it (as indicated by the already downloaded symbol). Now I have to dick around with PS support all because I wanted an extremely awesome DTOID t-shirt for Home.
Shirt only comes up as a girl shirt. Still it is extremely awesome, and extremely free. ;D

I love Destructoid. I love PS3. I don't love Home. Sweet shirt(it's amazing it's available), just not worth the download time and effort.
Yeah the code is still redeemable but it is US only, any other region gives the usual "incorrect code" message
Boob eyes are awesome. Liking the new Home so far. The games are pretty decent all things considered. Dunno if it'll make me log in more frequently, but I did always like the idea of Home. Plus, now I can run around in a Dtoid shirt with my King from Tekken mask.
