Get your fingers on Free Bird by preordering Rocksmith

4:00 AM on 09.03.2011

Ok, I know "Free Bird" isn't a particularly new song to the world of music games; Guitar Hero 2 came out almost 5 years ago. I also know that a lot of people are tired of music games. That said, Rocksmith actually looks pretty good, albeit a bit daunting.

If you're planning on getting the title in mid-October you may want to consider preordering from Gamestop or Best Buy to get two free tracks: Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" and Radiohead's "Bodysnatchers." Then again, it's "Free Bird" and "Bodysnatchers," so that's totally your call.

Blink 182 DLC is now available for download for Rocksmith. The pack includes "Dammit", "What's My Age Again?" and "All the Small Things", I presume those are the "good" ones. Each track can be purchased individually for $2.99 on PSN or 240 MS points on XBL. Good news for fans, I suppose, business as usual for the rest of you.more

Review: Rocksmith

Making multiplayer music in Fantasia: Music Evolved

Harmonix revealed a multiplayer mode for Fantasia: Music Evolved at GDC last week alongside some new songs and levels. I jumped in front of a Kinect sensor to try out the new mode, and it wasn't long before I was flapping my arms to the beat.  Can't you hear that boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, bass?    more
