Get wet and wild with Destructoid next weekend! photo

Hey there Northern California Dtoiders, what are you up to next weekend? Live in the San Francisco/Sacramento area, like water, hanging out, inflatable objects, and cheap thrills? Then I have got just the thing for you!

Next weekend on August 11 and 12, Destructoid community member Qalamari has put together a rafting trip! I’ll go ahead and pass on some details, but for a full break down make sure to check out Qalamari’s blog post about the trip and what to bring.

The plan is to raft down the Lower American River, then head back to Qalamari’s place for an after party. The rafting should run about $25-$35 per person. The festivities at the homestead look to include games, food (bring your own booze if you want it), and something involving squirt guns. Something.

Qalamari and our own Spencer Hayes appear to have volunteered crash space, so check the blog and get in touch with them if you have questions about that. There’s also information available at Destructoid’s own Meet-Up page. Hope you guys have a blast!

With the help of indie publisher Midnight City, High Strangeness is coming out late this year on PC and consoles. Holmes and Ben "AgentMOO" Shostak talked about the "12- bit" adventure and enemies that get more nefarious and capable as you do when you switch to the 16-bit world.more
