Get 'Splosion Man for half price this week photo

Twisted Pixel's 'Splosion Man is one of the better platformers in recent years. The genre isn't nearly as popular as it once was -- when a game like this comes along, you ought to support it. That means going above and beyond exchanging copious amounts of cash for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and four remotes.

During this week, 'Splosion Man is down to a lowly five bucks. If you aren't afraid of a challenge, I highly recommend you take the studio up on this offer. The out-of-control ending is worth $5 by itself, and I also seem to remember hearing that the synchronization issues with co-op have been addressed.

Now is as good of time as any to grab this thing. Think of the donuts!

Deal of the Week: Splosion Man [Major Nelson]

Exactly how difficult is this game?

I want it. But I don't know if I want it.

Microsoft usually reveals all its deals of the week about a month or so in advance. I always check before I make a purchase! Even so, it was well worth it at $10 (I bought it when it released).

@RenagadePanda

It certainly has its moments. Luckily, there are always a few checkpoints scattered around the levels, so dying--which you'll do plenty of--never means having to start all the way over.

@RenagadePanda

it gets tough at times but it has a feature that let's you skip the level if you die a ton of times.

Really fun game. Worth the DL.

This game gets pretty difficult towards them end, but I always keep coming back. I like to get my ass handed to me now and then.

I hate coverage of this game only for the fact that it's name (and I believe timing of announcement) reminds me of explodemon (sp?) which I've been waiting for some solid news on for a long time.

This game is definitely worth it, don't hesitate to pick it up if you're unsure. The end credit sequence is stunningly brilliant.

For 400 bannana bucks you'd be a prick not to buy this game. Do yourselves a favour eh?
