Get Sierra Online's Battlestar Galactica XBLA game half-price this Friday only photo

Sierra Online has announced that the Battlestar Galactica game for XBLA will be half price -- 400 Microsoft Points -- this Friday, April 4.

Admittedly, I've never seen more than three episodes of Battlestar Galactica, but I hear it's totally killer. It's got something to do with Cylons and stars that battle each other in the galaxy, right? I've also never played the Xbox LIVE Arcade game of the same name, either, but I sure do like a deal.

The game was originally released last October, so fans have had plenty of time to try out the game, which originally cost gamers $10 (800 MS Points). So for those who have already purchased or played the game: is this really a great deal, or is this some kind of devious trick on the part of Sierra Online?

Ron Moore said several times that the final cylon is not Lee, not Starbuck, not the President, etc.

My money is on Lee's grandfather, Joseph.

The final cylon is... YOU! The viewer. Thats how edgy BSG is.

No, but really this show rocks and I can't wait till tomorrow for the new season to start.

A chance to frak up some toasters for less?

Shame I'd never be able to convince my friend to buy it.

I heard the game wasn't so great, as it had control issues that made the top-down shooting problematic. They are probably doing this to promote Season 4 of the show, seeing as the deal coincides with the premier this Friday. Being a huge fan, I might just pick this up, since I'm not adverse on getting a few achievements.

I don't think it's worth even 400 points. It wasn't all that well made (and I LOVE BSG.)

Maybe I can get it and play with my friend since he says the online is dead.

I love the show, but the game is kinda weak.

Oh and there are about 6 or 7 characters that Ronald Moore has confirmed as being 100% human, and not the final Cylon.

Nick, get the show off Netflix or something, and keep going when it gets kinda shitty for a little while half way through season 2. Excellent series.

I vote that it's a devious trick, but thats only because I know it's not.

I always meant to get around to BSG, now that i'm done with the first season of Dexter, I should give it a try.

The game was made by Auran, the Australian developer responsible for the first Dark Reign game, but more recently sunk all their resources into Fury, the MMO that was supposed to play like high-fantasy pickup football but instead played like ass and poo, which led to them laying a whole shedload of people off and being in some kind of bankruptcy/limbo state now.

The demo's been out for a while, and seems like nothing special, certainly not much of the sort that makes the TV series special. I expect Sierra's just trying to recoup a little more blood from the turnip.
