Get select PSN games half off for a limited time photo

Here's a nice treat, just in time for the widespread fattening that goes on during Thanksgiving: SCEA has knocked seven PlayStation Network titles down to half price. Better yet, some of these games are even worth downloading.

These are the new prices that go into effect today and last through December 2:

  • Flower - $4.99
  • The Last Guy - $4.99
  • Comet Crash - $4.99
  • Prince of Persia Classic - $4.99
  • Bomberman Ultra - $4.99
  • Smash Cars - $7.49
  • Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao - $7.49

Not bad. Not bad at all. While this list of games is by no means the best of the best for PSN, the games are surely worth considering with these sale prices. Although, with the inevitable Black Friday madness, will your cash be spent elsewhere this week?

Flower is worth $10 and a steal at $5. I might pick up The Last Guy at that price.

Yeah, that $5 for flower is pretty cheap. Ok Ok, I've been meaning to buy it for a long time now. For $5 if i don't do it now, i probably never will. And I know I should.

Has PSN had any "must have" downladable games recently? i remember in the summer XBLA had shadow complex, which i'm eventually going to buy after Ballad of Gay Tony, but I don't really remember reading about anything interesting on PSN...

Maybe I'm an idiot, but...

Is there any way to buy this stuff directly from the PlayStation Store website and have it added to my PS3 queue, or do I need to access the store from the PS3 itself? I'm itching to try Flower and The Last Guy, but I'm used to doing my XBLA shopping while at work rather than on the console itself (that way I'm making money WHILE spending it... eases the pain), and I'd like to be able to do the same for PSN now that I've joined the ranks, but I can't figure out the damn website.

Flower was an excellent indy game for 10 bucks. So good that it makes all the other PSN games feel like complete rip offs.

When my Mom comes over to visit, she always asks to play, and for kids it's got to be a blast.

It is basically pac-man set in a HD 3d world. You use the motion controller to float around, and it is probably the most relaxing chill out game EVER!

Glad I didn't buy Flower yesterday...and hoping they're not going to do this for Fat Princess, which I did buy for $15 yesterday.

Flower and The Last Guy will be mine....if this sale takes place in Canada too.

Is Super Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars still at its reduced price?? Even if not, everyone should buy that too. It is a blast! Plus 4-player split-screen.

Definitely picking up Last Guy. It didn't seem worth $10 for me, but 5 is cheap enough. Already have Flower though.

Just bought a $20 PSN card via eBay to get some cheap games. Flower, Bomberman ULTRA and possibly The Last Guy are going to be mine soon enough. And with the $5 left, I'll probably get Critter Crunch... wow, the weekends now are going to be great.

@mrandydixon,

You need to access it from the PS3 itself in order to buy it. I went through the same thing.

Already have Flower and The Last Guy - and yes, they were worth the price they were already at!

But what about the rest of these? Anyone already played Comet Crash, POP Classic, Bomberman Ultra, Smash Cars or Invincible Tiger? Can you tell me what they are like and whether you consider them worth the price of admission?

Digital downloads like PSN are evil and must be boycotted because there's no competition so Sony will never lower prices
