Every once in a blue moon I get the privilege of running into a passionate Dtoider at an event or virtually through the site with a head full of amazing ideas to improve the site. Unfortunately it always seems to happen when we're too busy doing other things to act on them immediately. Weeks will go by and the concepts will either end up somewhere in the netherlands of my Gmail snakepit or lost in the obscurity of ancient blogs and forums. I've started to wonder if we often move on to other crap our readers may care less about as a result of this flawed cycle.
Today, that changes. Check this bad boy out.
We've launched a nifty little system that lets you submit ideas, vote up which ones you feel we should prioritize, and also discuss concepts with other community members. Likewise, I promise to pop in regularly and answer any questions I can. We're really committed to taking the site up a notch this year hope everyone that you'll jump in there with your 2 cents. Before submitting please take a look at what's already been suggested to avoid dupes. All I ask is that:
1) Suggest a feature, function, or activity as specifically as possible. Let's build a new Dtoid together on this forum together and help us focus on what's most important to you. We want to talk about the site, not site policy. This is NOT the place to discuss banning policies, the latest internet drama, etc. Please respect the time that everyone's going to put into this to make it work and stay on topic.
2) Please be patient. It's an experiment after all and we're still a small company with limited resources. We can't promise that we'll implement all your suggestions in an expedient fashion. We'll certainly take the most popular ideas submitted under serious advisement.
I strongly encourage other companies to adopt a similar system and get their advocates involved in the creative process. There's a Japanese company that also started doing this decades ago. They're called Toyota, you might have heard of them.
[Thanks, Alexis]
also, you're posting in the wrong place already :)
And anyone else who posts replies with suggestions.
RTFA.
sorry I'm going to edit that comment right now.

...FIIIIIIIIIINE
Also, I signed up wrong. I am now jlandry2010 :(
It's interesting to see that, out of all the people who have signed up to provide input so far, a substantial majority have been here for a long time.
i rarely comment on this website tho, but loads on kotaku. reason is kotaku has the cool little 'reply' feature to people who commented on topics.
but. i still like you guys better :P
Cool thing, Niero. I'm surprised Necros hasn't already put up "Cblawgs 4 Japanator," but you probably know about that one already.
