When I was a kid, my absolute favorite holiday-related thing to do every year was carve a pumpkin. We never did anything totally off the wall, but I just enjoyed the whole ritual every year. Now, I see stuff like this epic project, and I think I need to get off my ass and do something similarly awesome since I love Halloween crafts so much.
Spotted over at 8 Bit Fix, this set of four pumpkins totally rocks and even features a Miyamoto design. The creator is also responsible for those epic Punch-Out!! scarves you may remember from way back when. All I can say is, this beats the hell out of wasting your time with the pumpkin carving sim. NOW we're talking. I wonder if I could pull off a Persona 4 pumpkin....

Wish that dude had some paper templates to print out and follow...
Guess I'll just have to go and make my own because I am going to attempt to carve one of those designs this Halloween season!

Yeah I know what you mean, I did some bad ass nightmare before christmas pumpkin carvings last year and I got so depressed when they starting falling apart and I had to throw them out, makes me wish I had used fake ones.

Those are sweet! I have a friend who puts on a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed haunted house every year, but he never carves pumpkins. Yours would be perfect! Maybe I'll show those pictures to him and he'll get inspired...

I got the templates from zombiepumpkins.com, it does cost money though in order to view and download their templates. Not much but it's worth it, they have one of the largest collection of templates on the net, you could also find some free one's I'm sure as well.
