Get a load of the new Pokemon R/S Mega Evolutions and trainer duds

Decorative spine orbs are so Mega

The latest issue of Japanese game mag CoroCoro has revealed some of the new Mega Evolutions for the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes, including new Megas for starters Sceptile and Swampert, event Pokemon Diance, and series mascot legendaries Kyogre and Groudon. This time around, the item used to activate Mega Evolutions is called the "Mega Bangle." No word yet on potential coinciding Eternal Flame abilities.

We also get a look at the redesigned outfits for the Ruby and Sapphire trainers. Their clothes are looking a lot tighter. Uncomfortably tighter. That goes along with the whole frictionless "streamlined look" that seems to be the thing with Pokemon these days. Personally, I'm holding out for the series to go back to its sprite-based visual roots, but I suppose any new Pokemon is better than nothing.
