Electronic Arts is bringing back NBA Jam this holiday, and I've played it, and it's awesome. Have you played NBA Jam before? You know what you're getting yourself into.
But there's been some people thumbing their noses at the fact that it's only been announced for the Wii. Why? The game doesn't feature any real motion control gameplay components, and there shouldn't be anything stopping EA from bringing it to other consoles. Rumors (and quickly-altered resumes) had pointed to the game hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but nothing has been set in stone.
Now Siliconera has spotted what appears to the closest thing to confirmation that we can get, outside of EA sending us a press release. The German ratings board has just filed a rating for NBA Jam… for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Good news for fans who don't own Nintendo's console, but want to get their old-school arcade hoops on. Now the question remains, outside of high definition visuals, what more will these other versions have to offer? What would you like to see?
