If there's one thing a bunch of hormone-addled, masculinity-obsessed, spiteful Xbox Live players want to do, it's sit around a table playing board games. Esdevium Games has tapped into this cultural demand with Gears of War: The Board Game.
Four players team up to complete randomly created mission objectives. There are over 200 cards, 75 tokens and 30 little plastic figures that bring the thrill of Gears to your dining room table. Using the cards, players can perform classic actions such as taking cover or using a chainsaw bayonet to rip a Locust in half.
Sounds lame, geeky, and ridiculous ... so naturally, I want it. Game's due out next month.
