Asked by Famitsu if the Gears of War franchise would continue on Xbox One, Microsoft Game Studios head Phil Spencer said that "You should ask Epic Games about what they want to do. We haven't announced anything yet about Gears of War, but we hope to bring it to Xbox One in some form. However, there's nothing more I can tell you at this time."

Which is better than "no comment," even if that's basically what we're getting here. Of course Microsoft would want a flagship franchise like Gears on the new platform ... but do we? Will we? Judgment, while by no means a terrible game, felt largely unnecessary and even as a fan of the series, I'm now hoping Epic holds off for at least a couple more years as a result.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell leaves no deadly sin unchecked

Johnny Gat's not a good man. Powerful, but not good. That's why he uses each and every of the seven deadly sins to send all of those already dead to the after-afterlife. Most of them look like they deserve it, to be fair. Especially those nipple-rubbing demons.more

Hotline Miami 2 might not be done until early 2015

Hearing that Dennaton Games is taking more time to polish up Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number -- it's now looking like late 2014 or early 2015 -- sits well with me. Totally okay with waiting. I know that should be the default r...more
