The guys over at SiliconEra dug up videos of the Japanese dub of
Gears of War. Not surprisingly, most games that go over to Japan from the US just get stuck with subtitles and then put on the shelves, but
Gears of War got the special treatment, and got dubbed. I really like the voice acting for it, too, as it seems like they made some great choices with the "badass" voiceactors. Unfortunately, I can't quite identify who the VAs are. Do we have any astute
Japanator readers who might know? Also, what do you think of the voices?
Also, check out the opening for the game:

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
And man, just watching that first movie got me tense. I think I need to get a 360 soon.
Man I gotta hear that in japanese.
Why do the Japanese get an opening sequence? I don't remember watching that for the US version. I remember starting off in the prison, there was no history of the war video to introduce you to the game.
Also, the Locust have been dubbed as well. I'm not sure I like it, they sound like Japanese Oni (demons) to me, but at least they're intelligible to the Japanese ear.
