I figure they did it on purpose so they could get you to buy follow-up DLC or a novel or something. If not... they just suck at telling a story. Hold it together, Cliffy.
Sounds good. Should be interesting, especially since it's desling with events we haven't seen before (ie. Pre Emergence Day) should atleast be an interesting addition plus the new character/weapon skins never hurt.

@Gestault The game really is packed full of content. A long single player campaign, versus multiplayer, Beast mode, Horde mode, 4 player co-op campaign, avatar awards (if you're in to that).

@John B it's not multiplayer-only. Or at least it shouldn't be. Other sites are reporting it as being like a mini campaign mode, so one would think that you could play it by your lonesome if you wished. Then there's the multiplayer characters and skins on top.

how the fuck could this be on the Gears of War 3 disc when it's the prequel to Gears of War 1? moreover from what was released you will be able to play as RAAM(dunno if in the campaign or Beast mode) and entire campaign will take you at least 3 hours.

@Gareth @Andy Yeah, I read too quickly. The "six new multiplayer characters" threw me off. I'm still a bit put out by the 1200 MS points, though.
I used to use Minh in MP in Gears 2, but this just isn't that interesting for me. The only opinion I have is that they added a completely unknown female character instead of adding Alex Brand from the comics. Bummer. Think I'll pass.
