Oh yes, now you're showing me the shit I wanna see, Epic!
This is the official "reveal" trailer for Gears of War 3's campaign mode. Some people (fools) like to think Gears doesn't have a campaign worth noting. I say it's the reason I started liking the series, and the third game looks set to have a hot one!
The video shows off loads of grunting, monsters, and explosions, all set to "War Pigs." I've got a boner now.
Do you miss the old days? I do, I surely do. Why, many years ago a fool like you would have been run clear of the village by good, honest folk with pitchforks and gods righteous fury backing them up.
Be warned, I've got my eye on you and I'm not talking about the lazy one.
I have been starved of big, dumb action lately, and I can't think of anything better than a band of big, gruff, muscly men doing bad things to a hostile alien race with big weapons. I can't wait to start carving me some Locust for the third time. Bring it on, Epic.
Epic must have pulled some strings with microsoft because you can now get lancers and hammerbursts for your avatar. I thought there was a rule against weapons for avatars.
Damn...that trailer was really damn good. I might have to pick up the gears of war triple pack to see if I like the series... cause this trailer makes me want this game.
I still think it's funny that the only guys that wear helmets are the ones who die. It's like the officer in the red shirt on Star Trek who always eats it when they beam down to the planet.
I enjoyed the first game. It had taken the strong parts of Kill Switch, the cover system, to a whole new level and made a very good storyline with great atmosphere. The second games was alright but I think it lost direction and became mundane after a short time. But it introduced great multiplayer co-op gameplay which made the game. Hopefully Gears 3 lives up to what it looks like, very promising campaign.
Whilst enjoying massive levels of butt hurt on the playstation blog during the outage I saw many posts by young vallanthaz. Bless that boy, he wouldn't have a bad word said about Sony.
Not sure why he's posting here. Is the psn down again buddy?
"Looks boring just like all the other gears games"
You're fighting in a sunken city with buildings falling around you then a giant worm eats you and you have to saw your way out then your in a scary research base in the rain, fighting Test subjects and lazer machine gun traps and throughout all this you've got a big smile on your face :D
@The Legendary Biohazard:
I always laught when people say that. Not a single character from Gears is a marine, and none of it takes place in space.
That said, I'm really looking forward to this. Gears games have always had really good ads...not that that has anything to do with my purchasing decision.
