I can see like...characters and skins and shit being small since those models are in the game already, but whole maps, at only 1.4mb? That's some shit. Music downloads are bigger than that.
Except now everyone gets the maps free on nov. 24 so its not that much content, especially since moat ppl bought it for the maps
Disc unlocks are generally 108 KB so I'm sure it's not ALL on the disc but yeah, I'd say 95% of it is.
I guess I was a little naive to believe I was getting a good deal with the season pass. Epic had a pretty good track record with DLC before, so eh, why not, I'd end up getting it all anyways.

With an update that size, it's unlikely there are any texture or audio assets. It's got to be mostly code changes. Either it's rejiggering existing assets, or unlocking on-disc content.
Absolute rip - off junk. Paying for character skins that are already on disc, what nonsense. This just shows HOW desperate Epic are after being completely obliterated by Uncharted 3 in review scores. All the top gamers are too busy playing Uncharted 3 to bother with DLC that is for a second - rate game like Gears.
Epic milking this game casue they know the 360 won't have another exclusive for like 12 months, LOL. 360 with it's no games, nobody needs one. A Wii and a PS3 are what real gamers need but a no - games idiot machine like the 360 isn't even necessary in this day and age.

I think Jammy is hilarious because all he does is state the exact opposite of what Jimmy would say. He just needs to get the exact avatar picture jimmy uses, make it face the opposite direction, and put an evil mustache on it, and voila, balance restored.
I think on disc DLC is pretty disgusting. Basically its the developer and publisher saying that they have little or no respect for their own loyal fans who shelled out $60 for their game.

Anybody who knew anything knew it was on disc DLC. Epic had already admitted it was a while back. Some people are just idiots and want to believe whatever they want to believe, facts be damned. Looking at all of you who claimed this wasn't on-disc in the last article despite all the information available.

I imagine the majority of the DLC was release on a title update, so everyone has the content, so other players without the DLC can see the new character skins for example. This is essentially a way to not lock players out of games with everyone else. This is also the reason compatablity packs are released. Can anyone clarify if there was a rather large title update for Gears 3 at all recently?

Not really surprised. Only reason I'll be playing it is because my mate has 800 points left, and is not a fan or arcade games, nor is he gonna ever buy MS points again. *and neither am I, haven't for a 1,5 year now*
