I have 20 hours into the game and no issues yet. I game on every platform and I these gaming breaking bug suck for new games but most of these bug happen on PS3 or PC ports. Dev need to work on these issue they are getting out of control for 60 dollar games.
Glad this bug didn't happen when me and vApathyv had our Horde playthrough (46 waves in...)

I just finished the campaign for Gears 3 not 10 minutes ago. I am gonna go ahead and thread jack to verbally masturbate Epic for such a fantastic game.
The story was actually meaningful and actually pulled emotional strings, even though Gears gets a bad 'brotastic' rap. My eyes welled up a few times, few gamea have ever accomplished that! Bravo Epic, great end to a great trilogy.

mhm i haven't hard this problem. yet i only played the campaign and only played like less then 3 hours of the multiplayer since i RAGE in it more then any other game. i "used" to be good in gears 1 but after gears 2 i some how suck at gears 2 and 3 multiplayer. anyways hope they fix it.

Atm ild say its more likly that cloud based gaming on something like onlive is the future. The death of used games and piracy while been on a closed platform which they have control over is everything the AAA industry wants

They never really get bad to the point you wouldnt wanna give up 60 bucks for it, but this sounds kinda really, really bad. I already know three people affected, but they all got it in versus so im sticking to horde (which is 80 billion times better anyway.)

I haven't had any freezing issues but last night, after playing about an hours worth of versus, I tried to start some Beast mode and was unable to find a match despite there being 5,000 other players online, even after 20 minutes of searching. I settled for Horde mode but even that took me a good 10 minutes to find a match. That was rather annoying.

Heh, I've play the game everyday and been through the campaign 3 times. I have seen no such bug. First I've actually heard about it. No mention of it over comms. If it indeed is a problem for some, I'm certain it will be corrected immediately.
It never stops amazing me that when someone doesn't experience such a glitch personally they try to rationalise it as being the fault of those who do...
Anyway I hope I dont encounter this one...but I pretty much am done with it anyway hope it gets fixed for those who do encounter it.

I can counter the sawn off easily by keeping my distance and not sucking. I put hundreds of hours into the first gears games and I've managed to beat it. Adapt.
@article. The problem is there but it is in no way as widespread as the article suggests and is easily fixed with a console reboot. Not ideal I know but its not the end of the world.

Yep, there's a reason why shotguns are CQC weapons and not made for long range combat. If you keep getting killed by a guy around the corner, don't run over there! Use your rifle and wait for him to come out, or flank him and get him from behind. I had the same problem when I first started (first time playing Gears online), but after a couple days, I figured out what to do, it's not that hard...

Played this game for several hours every day since I got it on the 22nd and not had this issue at all...

Agreed. I was a total shotgun whore in gears 1 & 2 but the sawn off keeps people away in cqc. I've had to change my play style and the games more fun for it.
No more gnasher sprints across the map trying to take out the entire team. No more heroes (anymore). Play as a team or get sprayed across the map.

This is extremely old news if you have been looking at epics official forums since launch. Im happy for those that havent experoenced this issue. Yes thia glitch is very real and is aaffecting a great number of players, some since day 1 of launch, 2 That I know pwrsonally. Im just surprised it tool almost 2 weeks for any of the gaming sites to even notice this issue. If u still dont think its a real glitch just you tube it. Also it can affect anyones profile not just splitscreen players.
this happened to me while at my mates house tried to go into horde in a private match and it just froze up tried with just his profile worked fine, tried it with just mine it froze up again went back to my house tried it again and it still freezes epic better fix this soon because im only missing 9 acheivements and have almost maxed out my fortifications on horde.
