While there is yet to be an official announcement regarding future DLC for Borderlands, Gearbox level designer Jason Reiss made an interesting post to the company's message board today with at least one bit of info that's sure to make fans of the game happy. Yes, the level cap will be increasing and, according to Reiss, "it's awesome."
He goes on to say that it's "the biggest DLC" yet, which will be nice for those who thought Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was a bit on the brief side.
Wonderful news, I say. I've been really impressed with the speed of delivery on content for Borderlands and am looking forward to yet another reason to get my team together and blow sh*t up. Increasing the cap doesn't interest me too terribly much, but I'm hopeful they add more to that than just additional skill points.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
More Borderlands is always a good thing. Always.
maybe custom guns where you pay(using in game money of course) for parts or maybe find parts dropped by enemies and use them to increase stats or add reload or ammo bonuses and also elemental damage etc. now that would be cool.
Honestly, I don't want them to stop at just ten. If this really is going to be bigger than anything they've done so far, I would shoot for 15 hours or something, or maybe that's just me being very optimistic. Still, the next DLC should be long. They're doing great so far, so I have no doubt it'll be good. I just want to enjoy it for a while.
A level increase could be interesting. I have yet to complete a 2nd playthru with any character, so that would definately give me an incentive to return ot Pandora...loves me some Borderlands!!
